Alpine A110 GT4 – Setup for the Nordschleife

On Track

The Alpine sits planted and predictable. Through the high-speed sections it behaves a touch differently than usual, but it all stays minimal and easy to control. The priority was a rear that stays calm under load changes, without making the front axle feel lazy.

The Setup

Out of the box the car oversteered far too much and gave away too much speed on the straights. I shifted the balance through ride height: a little higher at the front, a notch lower at the rear. That settled the nervous rear and improved top speed at the same time. On top of that comes a longer gear ratio, which finally lets the Alpine pull properly down the Döttinger Höhe. The dampers are matched cleanly left to right, and traction control sits at a moderate level that keeps enough drive without letting the rear run away.

Lap Time

The result is an 8:39.123 on the clock – a time that can be driven consistently across a whole race, rather than working just once on a qualifying lap.
