Chassis work
Unlike the GT3 cars, the fast damper stages (Fast Bump/Fast Rebound) are locked in the GT4 class, so fine-tuning happens entirely through the slow damper stages, the anti-roll bars, springs, and tyre pressure.
Driving character
The R8 GT4 isn't a slow car, but it demands respect through the Nordschleife's fast sections. Between entry and exit, the balance occasionally swings between light understeer and oversteer — and as fuel burns off over a stint, it should only get quicker. For race use, that means treating it with some caution: in the fast corners, not every lap goes the same way.
